Portuguese Language Course – 1st Semester - 2024/2025
Lesson Period – 9th of October 2024 to 17th of January 2025 (it differs from the school calendar)
Level A1 – Beginners (20 places available)
Tuesday - 6pm – 8.30pm (Faculty of Arts and Letters)
Thursday - 6pm – 8.30pm (Faculty of Arts and Letters)
Level A2 – Elementary (20 places available)

Wednesday - 6pm – 8.30pm (Faculty of Arts and Letters)
Classrooms - Faculty of Arts and Letters (information will be available at the Main Entrance of Building 1, at the Letters Secretariat and will be published online www.ple.ubi.pt).
Fees:
Registration fee - according to the Academic Services’ fee table
Course fee - UBI Community (Students/Researchers/Staff) – €50
Course fee - Community external to UBI – €100

1st step - Language level assessment test (MANDATORY) – 24th to 26th of September 2024
(online - https://forms.gle/hqLf73v4YV93kCmq5)
The results are communicated by email until the 27th of September. Candidates will receive a document certifying that they have taken the test. It is mandatory to send this document to CFIUTE during the application period (read “ 2nd step - Applications” carefully).
The absence of this document will void the application (exclusion of the application).

Lessons – 25% (75% mandatory attendance)
Listening exam – 25%
Speaking exam – 25%
Written exam – 25%
- Course certificate (6 ECTS) – Students who have passed their level exams and attended 75% of classes.
- Attendance certificate – Students who have attended the course (75% of classes) but didn’t pass their final evaluation.
