Portuguese Language Course – 2nd Semester - 2024/2025
Lesson Period – February 17th to June 6th, 2025 (coincides with the academic calendar).
Level A1 – Beginners (20 places available)
Tuesday - 6pm – 8.30pm (Faculty of Arts and Letters)
Thursday - 6pm – 8.30pm (Faculty of Arts and Letters)
Level A2 – Elementary (20 places available)

Level B1 (20 places available)

Classrooms - Faculty of Arts and Letters (information will be available at the Main Entrance of Building 1, at the Letters Secretariat and will be published online www.ple.ubi.pt).
Fees:
Registration fee - according to the Academic Services’ fee table
Course fee - UBI Community (Students/Researchers/Staff) – €50
Course fee - Community external to UBI – €100
Course fee exemption: students enrolled in the UC “Foreign Language” (code 16953), as part of their study plan. Attention: enrollment in this UC must be completed, in the Academic Services, by February 7th, the last day to apply for language courses.

1st step - Language level assessment test (MANDATORY) – January 28th, 29th, and 30th, 2025 (online – https://forms.gle/hqLf73v4YV93kCmq5)
Results will be communicated by email by February 3rd, 2025.
Candidates will receive a document certifying that they have taken the test. It is mandatory to send this document to CFIUTE during the application period (read “ 2nd step - Applications” carefully).
The absence of this document will void the application (exclusion of the application).

2nd step – Applications – Attention: Before submitting your application, check the scheduled times for each level.
Attention: after submitting your application on the platform, the document certifying that you took the test must be sent to the email cfiute@ubi.pt (subject of the e-mail - “Application for a Language Course”).

Listening exam – 25%
Speaking exam – 25%

- Course certificate (6 ECTS) – Students who have passed their level exams and attended 75% of classes.
- Attendance certificate – Students who have attended the course (75% of classes) but didn’t pass their final evaluation.
